Villa Sonja Description (sleeps 5)

Villa Sonja consists of entrance hall, open plan lounge and dining room with log fire for the cooler evenings, satellite TV, DVD player and French windows leading to the large poolside patio. The kitchen is equipped with oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher etc. with separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, washbasins and wc.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and there is a third single bedroom, these 2 rooms share the facilities of the family bathroom which has a shower, washbasin and wc.

This style of accommodation would provide an excellent base for families or elderly people who want to enjoy the privacy and security of a single level luxury villa.

The property sits in impressive landscaped gardens to front and rear providing both sunny and shady areas, with an extensive terrace and barbecue area with sun loungers and dining furniture surrounding the large heated pool with slide. The terrace area offers stunning views over the golf course and mountains.

You will find numerous bars, restaurants, supermarket, newsagent, pharmacy etc. within walking distance of the villa.

Sonja Apartment Description (sleeps 4)

The adjoining apartment has its own entrance and consists of small kitchenette and dining area with double ring hob and fridge, plus a sitting room with the option of 2 pull out single beds or a double sofa bed.

There is also a further double bedroom with separate wc and shower room.

The main villa and separate apartment would be suited for families and friends who want to holiday together but retain some privacy.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is one of Spain's most popular holiday destinations. Tourists are attracted to the region for the long hot summers which merge into the mildest winters, with over 300 days of sunshine over the year it's not hard to see why this destination is proving to be popular all year round.

Without doubt the many well kept beaches which have been awarded the European Blue Flag award, for high standards of water and sand hygiene help to provide a diverse variety of outdoor activities including, sailing, fishing, scuba diving and windsurfing. These are just a few of the activities available all year round.

The towns of Fuengirola with its golden beaches and extensive night life, and the picturesque hill top village of Mijas old town are both only a few minutes drive away, with Marbella and Puerto Banus easily reached in around 20 minutes.

Tivoli World Amusement Park (approximately 22 minutes drive) is the biggest amusement park on the Costa del Sol and offers both rides and a variety of shows including Flamenco and Wild West. To cater for younger children it has an area of the park call Tivolandia, which is perfect for kids to let off some steam.

Benalmadena Cablecar is right next door to Tivoli World, the cars run up to the summit of Monte Calamorro. Once at the top you can enjoy fantastic views over the Costa del Sol and on a clear day see Gibraltar and the North African coast. Each car can carry 4 people and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes, at the top you also have donkey rides, exhibitions of birds of prey and Spanish horse riding exhibitions all included in the price of the ticket.

Aqualand Aqua Park, Torremolinos (approximately 25 minutes drive) is the largest water park on the Costa del Sol, covering more than 70,000 square meters and has rides called Boomerang, Kamikazee Twister, Rapids and the Black Hole. The park also has an area for small children, waves pools, lots of grassy areas for those wishing to sunbathe, many restaurants and an 18 hole mini golf course.

Torremolinos Crocodile Park (approximately 25 minutes drive) is located in Torremolinos next to Aqualand.

Fuengirola Zoo (approximately 10 minutes drive) can be found in the centre of Fuengirola opposite Mijas Aquapark.

Can we just thank you for a fantastic holiday. The Villa was of an exceptional standard with everything our family needed to enjoy and relax. The pool was especially popular with young and old alike, very clean, although deep, it forced the young kids to learn to swim and Cassie (5 years) was soon braving the slide with her arm bands and had a ball, fearless.

The main house and adjacent apartment had all the facilities we required from dishwasher to DVD’s. Lovely to return to in the evening after a meal in Benalmadena, jump in the pool at 1am to cool off, then settle down to a movie. The air conditioning was especially welcome as it allowed us to enjoy a good nights sleep with the weight of a duffet and not having the hot summer sweats under a sheet. The washing machine allowed my sister to go home with her laundry done as it has been raining in Ireland for the last 100 years.

We are so relaxed and the kids have been buzzing ever since the weeks holiday but now planning for next year. We would definitely recommend you to our friends and will return soon.
