Villa Casita Description
Villa Casita is not overlooked and is situated in about one acre on a private hillside some four miles inland from Fuengirola, within an 8 minute walk (2 mins by car) of the Mijas Golf Courses (2x18 holes) and the famous 5* Byblos Hotel.
Casita is a typical Spanish large family villa with wide-spread bedrooms and anti-slip ceramic floors throughout. It has three large bedrooms (one double and two twin bedrooms) and a self-contained studio apartment. Each bedroom and the studio have en-suite facilities. The studio has a twin bed area and a lounge area with sofa bed and second sofa.
The villa is on two levels. On the upper (driveway) level is the entrance hall, lounge, dining room, kitchen and two double rooms with bathrooms. These bedrooms are at opposite ends of this level. The third double room is on the lower (pool) level, down a spiral staircase from the entrance hall. The studio with it's own entrance is also on the pool level.
There are many terraces and patios on both levels, with seating and tables (at least five groups of tables each with six chairs) which provide space for independent relaxation. The kitchen is fully fitted with all usual appliances, whilst the lounge has 32" TV, satellite TV, Video, DVD player and CD player. The studio has TV/video and basic satellite TV link.
Children are welcome, but should really be over eight years as there are spiral stairs and stone steps. For winter guests there is electric heating, and an open gas fire in the lounge. All water heating is by electric immersion heaters.
LIVING/LOUNGE ROOM: This room has a fireplace, stereo system, 32" TV, satellite TV, video/CD player, comfy seating for 6 people and ceiling fan. The Studio has TV/video, satellite TV, ceiling fan and lounge area.
DINING ROOM: This room has seating for 8 people and ceiling fan.
KITCHEN: Modern kitchen with all modern appliances including: dish washer, oven, fridge, freezer, hob, microwave, washing machine and plenty of utensils/cutlery.
BEDROOM 1: Double bed, ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom with corner bath.
BEDROOM 2: Twin beds, en-suite bathroom and ceiling fan.
BEDROOM 3: Twin beds, en-suite bathroom.
BEDROOM 4 (STUDIO): Twin beds, sofa bed, ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom, lounge area & small kitchen.
Garden and Outdoors
There is easy parking and turning for cars in the wide driveway. The pool has steps and slopes from about 1m to 2m depth over about 8m length. There are five isolated patio areas each with table and seating for six. Additionally there is the 'sunken' patio below the pool, the terracotta tiled 'barbeque' north patio, the 'top' patios above the villa, and the 'secret' garden. Nine areas to quietly read a book!
The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol is one of Spain's most popular holiday destinations. Tourists are attracted to the region for the long hot summers which merge into the mildest winters, with over 300 days of sunshine over the year it's not hard to see why this destination is proving to be popular all year round.
Without doubt the many well kept beaches which have been awarded the European Blue Flag award, for high standards of water and sand hygiene help to provide a diverse variety of outdoor activities including, sailing, fishing, scuba diving and windsurfing. These are just a few of the activities available all year round.
The towns of Fuengirola with its golden beaches and extensive night life, and the picturesque hill top village of Mijas old town are both only a few minutes drive away, with Marbella and Puerto Banus easily reached in around 20 minutes.
Tivoli World Amusement Park (approximately 22 minutes drive) is the biggest amusement park on the Costa del Sol and offers both rides and a variety of shows including Flamenco and Wild West. To cater for younger children it has an area of the park call Tivolandia, which is perfect for kids to let off some steam.
Benalmadena Cablecar is right next door to Tivoli World, the cars run up to the summit of Monte Calamorro. Once at the top you can enjoy fantastic views over the Costa del Sol and on a clear day see Gibraltar and the North African coast. Each car can carry 4 people and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes, at the top you also have donkey rides, exhibitions of birds of prey and Spanish horse riding exhibitions all included in the price of the ticket.
Aqualand Aqua Park, Torremolinos (approximately 25 minutes drive) is the largest water park on the Costa del Sol, covering more than 70,000 square meters and has rides called Boomerang, Kamikazee Twister, Rapids and the Black Hole. The park also has an area for small children, waves pools, lots of grassy areas for those wishing to sunbathe, many restaurants and an 18 hole mini golf course.
Torremolinos Crocodile Park (approximately 25 minutes drive) is located in Torremolinos next to Aqualand.
Fuengirola Zoo (approximately 10 minutes drive) can be found in the centre of Fuengirola opposite Mijas Aquapark.
Sport and interests
The Mijas Golf Course is just a few minutes walk from the villa providing excellent facilities and has two superb 18-hole courses. There are very many other Championship Golf Courses along the coast, all within 10 – 45 minutes drive. The Lew Hoad Tennis Club, horse riding, go karting and Mijas Aqua Park are all within 10 minutes drive. For winter visitors the Sierra Nevada ski slopes are a 2-hour drive away.

The pool was spotlessly clean during the whole fortnight. The views from the dining room are magnificent, and the gardens gorgeous and very well-maintained. On site manager very helpful. Car necessary.
